About
Hamed Amiri is an author, speaker and technology leader working at the intersection of leadership, identity and human-centred change. His work brings together lived experience, storytelling and corporate leadership to explore how individuals and organisations navigate complexity, pressure and transformation.
Born in Afghanistan under Taliban rule, Hamed came to the UK as a child while caring for his terminally ill brother. His memoir, The Boy With Two Hearts, tells this story and has gone on to achieve significant recognition, including a stage adaptation at the National Theatre and ongoing development for screen. His second book, The Other Boy, will be published by Hachette in 2026.
Alongside his writing, Hamed is a senior technology and transformation leader at PwC, where he works on large-scale digital and AI transformation programmes. This dual perspective allows him to bridge the gap between strategy and lived reality, offering insight into leadership under pressure, organisational change and the human side of transformation.
Hamed is also an international keynote speaker and a British Red Cross Ambassador, contributing to conversations around resilience, migration, identity and inclusion. His work focuses on leadership beyond theory, exploring how personal experience, adversity and storytelling shape decision-making, culture and long-term impact.
His areas of expertise include leadership and decision-making under pressure, resilience and overcoming adversity, identity and belonging, mental health and grief, human-centred transformation, responsible AI and the role of storytelling in education and leadership.
