Leah Chowdhry is an extraordinary individual whose achievements span sports, business, and philanthropy. On July 4th, 2018, at the age of 26, Leah made history by becoming the first British Asian woman to swim the English Channel. She completed the swim in just under 15 hours, overcoming numerous challenges such as jellyfish stings, navigating through ship tankers, and battling seasickness. Her feat raised £250,000 for charity and later became a book – Making a Splash.

Leah’s journey is marked by a series of outstanding accomplishments. In addition to swimming the English Channel, she has also completed the London Marathon. Academically, Leah holds a BSc in Childhood Studies, which laid the foundation for her career in childcare and education.

Professionally, Leah has a diverse background, having worked for EY and managed a children’s nursery before venturing into entrepreneurship. She is the Founder and CEO of the award-winning childcare company, ‘Pop Up, Party & Play.’ This innovative company provides mobile childcare services, making childcare more accessible and convenient for parents. Their services are available at workspaces, members’ clubs, corporate events, and special occasions.
