About
Helen Hanison is a UK-based leadership coach, narrative therapist, author, speaker, and podcaster. Specialising in career crossroads and career redesign, Helen helps individuals to become ‘unstuck’ and to realign their careers with their core values.
Drawing on positive psychology, Helen teaches clients to challenge their inner pessimist, understand the dark power of perseverance, and recognise when resilience can be counterproductive. She also addresses work unhappiness, the importance of happiness at work, and career agility. Helen believes in the potential for purposeful career redesign at any stage, including encore careers and pre-retirement careers. She is adept at guiding clients through hard conversations, particularly in leadership and managing up.
She holds two degrees, one in media and communications and another in psychology, earning First Class Honours in the latter as a mature student. Qualified in Co-Active Coaching and certified in Narrative Therapy, Helen combines these skills to support clients in the public and private sectors. Formerly a director at leading PR companies, she now uses her extensive experience to coach clients towards purposeful and fulfilling career paths.
Her debut book, “Unstuck: A Smart Guide to Purposeful Career Redesign”, is out in mid-June 2024 – details to follow.
