Sara-Louise Ackrill is a neurodivergent therapist, entrepreneur, and workplace consultant. Founding CEO of Wired Differently and co-founder of Start Differently, a non-profit, Sara-Louise supports neurodivergent individuals personally in employment and as entrepreneurs. Recognised as a ‘Top UK Neurodiversity Evangelist’ and one of Small Business Britain’s #IAlso100 2024 entrepreneurs, Sara specialises in workplace inclusion, neurodiversity awareness, and domestic abuse advocacy. She is currently developing wNDerful, an app for neurodivergent people, and strives to create inclusive spaces through education and compassion.

Sara-Louise Ackrill is a neurodivergent entrepreneur, workplace consultant, and therapist specialising in neurodiversity and inclusion. She is the founder of Wired Differently, a social impact company developing products and services tailored for autistic and ADHD individuals, and co-founder of Start Differently, a not-for-profit supporting neurodivergent people in employment and entrepreneurship.

Recognized as one of Small Business Britain’s #IAlso100 female entrepreneurs in 2024 and named a Top Neurodiversity Evangelist in the UK in 2023, Sara-Louise is a leading advocate for neurodivergent inclusion. A former disability and employment specialist, she is passionate about creating genuine change in workplace diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). She combines education and empathy to help employers build inclusive environments, balancing support for neurodivergent employees with practical guidance for leaders unfamiliar with disability inclusion.

Sara-Louise’s areas of expertise include:

  • Domestic abuse awareness for workplaces (with proceeds from these sessions donated to survivor support organisations)

Diagnosed later in life with Autism, ADHD, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, and Sensory Processing Disorder, Sara-Louise leverages her lived experience to support professionals and entrepreneurs navigating neurodiversity-related challenges. She is also developing wNDerful, an app designed to support neurodivergent users in personal and professional growth.

Fluent in French and learning Arabic, Sara-Louise has worked internationally, including in Nepal, Singapore, Latin America, and the Middle East. She is committed to expanding awareness in regions where neurodiversity infrastructure is limited.

Beyond her professional work, Sara-Louise is an advocate for women’s health and mental wellness, sharing her experiences with menopause, anxiety, and medicated weight loss to inspire others. A travel enthusiast, she has visited diverse destinations, including Egypt, Chile, and Nepal. In her personal life, she enjoys reading sociology and psychology books, singing, and doting on her dachshund, Disney, the star of @thesociablesausage on Instagram.
