About
Harry Margulies built a distinguished career as an international tax consultant before turning his focus to public commentary. After studying law at Lund University in Sweden, he advised governments and institutions at the highest levels, including helping the United Nations establish the tax system of Vanuatu and contributing to treaty negotiations between Sweden and the UK. Known for his ability to read and interpret complex legal and religious texts with clarity, he co-authored several legal textbooks still used in Swedish universities.
In recent years, Harry has applied the same skills to theology and politics, producing fearless critiques of religious doctrine and cultural belief systems. His writings include Why Is It? We Are Afraid of Being Descendants of Monkeys but Not Incest (2021), Finns Gud Fan Vet (2024, English edition forthcoming), and Is God Real? Hell Knows (2025). His articles have appeared in The London Economic, Fokus and The European, while his interviews and commentary have featured in Reader’s Digest, Female First, and The Gazette.
Harry’s media presence spans decades, from Swedish television debates with prime ministers and finance ministers in the 1980s to contemporary podcasts such as Okay Atheists and Humanists Take on the World. His content on X, YouTube and TikTok has reached millions, fuelling international debates on belief, morality and free speech.
Based in Toronto, Harry continues to write, speak and debate on the global stage. His work combines a survivor’s authenticity with a lawyer’s precision and a satirist’s edge, making him a distinctive and powerful voice in today’s public discourse.
He is also the Business and Regulation Correspondent at The European magazine, where he covers international business, tax policy, financial law, and the wider implications of money and power in society.
